EDYSL is
building a robust coach training program. The goals of
the program are:
1. Provide
coaches that have never coached soccer before with the
tools and information they need to be successful and
have fun.
2. Coaches will
know what objectives they should be accomplishing each
year within their age group, and they will have the
tools and knowledge to deliver sessions that teach those
objectives.
2. Create
consistency of coaching methods, terminology, and
expectations across all age groups
3. Create
more consistency year after year of player skills and
knowledge of the game
4. To
provide a framework that allows coaches to know that
they were successful at teaching the skills and concepts
that they should be.
5. To
provide a framework that allows players to know that
they improved, and that specific objectives were
achieved.
6. Combined,
all of these should make an environment for coaches and
players that will be more enjoyable because coaches will
have the tools to be better coaches, and everyone is
working towards the same goals.
EDYSL's coach
training program is broken down into 3 components:
1. EDYSL
