The uniform cost is actually more than $25.  The club is using cash reserves to help offset the cost of the new uniforms this year only.

* Field Improvement Fund

This fund is used only for field improvement and maintenance.  Some examples of past field improvement expenses are: purchasing seed and fertilizers, replacing equipment such as sprinkler and controllers, aerating, installing sod, and contributing to field renovation.

As you probably know, our schools' budgets have been being cut year after year and most of our schools have declining enrollment.  This environment has forced schools to rarely have funds to spend on the items listed above.  Sierra Gold Soccer Club works closely with the schools to assist with field maintenance, field improvements, and renovation.  We and the schools struggle every year with diminishing resources to keep up with maintenance, let alone make significant improvements.  We thank our schools hard working custodians for all they do to keep our fields in the best condition they can.
