Do you want to apply to be a head coach of a Select Soccer Team in the Placerville Area?  This is the application process for applying to coach a Select Team representing Sierra Gold, and High Sierra soccer clubs.  There is only one select soccer program for both clubs.

 

You need to:

Fill out and mail, fax (530-663-8409) or e-mail us the following.  It must be received by January 18th, 2009

Meet the minimum requirements (described below) by the first Wednesday in June.  Failure to do so will result in the removal of the individual from the relevant team staff position.

 

Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified if you are or are not accepted as Select coach.  If you are applying for an Assistant Coach position, your application will be given to the Head Coaches.  You will be notified if you will or will not be contacted by a Head Coach.

 

Head Coach Minimum Requirements:

  • All head coaches shall be a minimum of 18 years or older, unless they have an assistant coach or team manager of 18 years or older, who is properly credentialed and who will be present at all team functions (games, practices, etc.)

  • CYSA E license is required

  • USSF Referee license is required (by either the Head Coach or Assistant Coach)

  • One year of coaching experience as a head coach (or equivalent) of an age group not more than one age group lower than the age group you are applying to coach. (Except for U-10)

  • Head coaches must sign the Select Program Coach Commitment Agreement

  • If a head coaching position is offered to you, the offer is likely to require your agreement to obtain additional coach training such as an EDYSL U10 or U12+ Diploma (approximately 8-15 hours).

  • Must clear a background check with the Department of Justice

Assistant Coach Minimum Requirements: (the Head Coach chooses their Assistant Coach.  No application required)

  • CYSA F license is required

  • USSF Referee license is required (by either the Head Coach or Assistant Coach)

  • Assistant coaches are REQUIRED to attend at least two coach training sessions sponsored by EDYSL and paid for by our club and league.  Failure to attend these training sessions may disqualify you from coaching Select the following season.

  • Must clear a background check with the Department of Justice
