The Placerville area soccer clubs are dedicated to increasing the number of Select teams, as well as improving the caliber of our Select teams.  By having one program for all clubs in the Placerville area, we are able to have a complete program of at least one team in each age and gender group which can truly be competitive.  Having a complete program of teams is critical for year over year incremental improvement of the teams.

Our objective is to place the best head coaches possible for all teams, in order to meet and maximize the development and enjoyment of soccer for the players.  We have policies and process in place to ensure that coaches are selected in a fair and unbiased fashion based upon qualifications, skill, approach, commitment, participation, and philosophy.

In addition to CYSA minimum requirements, we require our Select coaches to have prior relevant licensed coaching experience and we encourage our Select coaches and assistant coaches to attend club-sponsored coach training each year.

Select Soccer in our geographic area falls under the jurisdictions of the CYSA District VI’s Metro League.  For information on Select Team statistics, field locations, rules, etcetera, see the Distric VI Metro League web site.

 

The Placerville Select Soccer team uniforms for 2010, 2011, 2012 are made by Adidas.  The uniform package consists of a blue jersey, white jersey, blue shorts, white sock pair, and blue sock pair.  This package cost $85.  Other optional items that can be purchased are a warm up suit, and ball/equipment backpack.

 

Uniforms can be tried on for size and ordered at our Uniform Sizing and Registration meeting held approximately 1 week after tryouts are complete.

 

Uniforms WILL change for the 2013 season.  We will do our best to select a uniform which can be used for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons.
