Travel & Cost:  Although most of your games will be in the greater Sacramento area, it is likely you will have some games a few hours away from Placerville.  You could travel anywhere within these 12 counties:  Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Solano (except cities of Benicia, Vallejo), Sutter, Yuba, Yolo.  How far your team travels is up to the coach and also the division your team is placed in after the seeding tournament.

Select teams have an obligation to play all scheduled games.  Games that are missed (for any reason) are to be rescheduled at the earliest convenience.  Furthermore, CYSA rules are quite specific (and harsh) in dealing with teams that forfeit a game for ANY reason.  Repercussions can affect the Coach, all team members, and will reflect poorly upon our Select program at large.  CYSA ruling committees can bar a team from tournaments and even force sabbaticals upon coaches and players for the following season of play.

Typically, there are higher costs associated with operating a Select team.  Some or all of these costs could be offset by donations made to your team, or by team fundraiser events.  Talk to your coach to get an idea of how much the cost could be.
