Purpose:
To ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all players, coaches, referees, spectators, and volunteers, Sierra Gold Soccer Club (SGSC) adopts the following policy regarding dogs and other pets at all club-affiliated events in alignment with Cal North/Norcal guidance and facility use rules.
Scope
This policy applies to all SGSC sanctioned events including, but not limited to:
Practices
Games (home and away)
Tournaments
Training sessions
Other club-sponsored gatherings on or off-site
This includes events held at any facility where SGSC is the user or host, or where Cal North/NorCal rules apply.
Policy Statement
No pets of any kind are allowed on the premises during SGSC or Cal North/Norcal sanctioned events. This includes fields, sidelines, spectator areas, parking lots associated with the event, and any other area under the event’s jurisdiction.
If a parent or spectator refuses to remove the pet from the field after being asked, referees will be advised to suspend the match until the pet is removed. If a parent or spectator continues to refuse to remove the pet from the field, referees will be advised to terminate the match.
Service animals are exempted in accordance with applicable laws (e.g. the Americans with Disabilities Act).
